It's not possible to replace armor by right clicking while holding the armor item

The bug

What I expected to happen was for me to able to replace the armor with another piece of armor, like on the Bedrock edition of Minecraft.

What actually happened was that did not happen and it did not do anything when I right click to try and replace the armor.

How to reproduce

1. Grab 2 different pieces of the same type of armor, eg. 1 netherite chestplate and 1 diamond chestplate

2. Put one of the pieces off armor on the armor slot in the inventory

3. Put the other piece of armor in the hotbar

4. Select that piece of armor and right click
