New iron ore texture does not transition well from top texture to opposing side angle texture.
On the other angle which is in the same orientation as the top texture appears fine.

No, what is being communicated here is that the long stripes in the iron ore texture (on the top and left side in the screenshot) clash with the stripes on the two sides of the ore. The other two sides don't clash due to the stripes because they are facing the same orientation (texture on the right side of iron ore in the screenshot).
