[MC-216960] Dirt square near mineshaft

I found two weird squares that are filled with air and one layer of dirt close to mineshafts. One was above y=0 and the other one below. It seems as though the tunnels lead into these "rooms" and they generate according to the biome above.

Intended. These rooms have always been part of mineshafts.

This feature isn't actually a bug, and, "Works As Intended" due to the resolution of MC-215876. What you're seeing is the dirt patch within the mineshaft, therefore this ticket duplicates MC-215876.
