wolf won't attack hit animal

Please provide a video with the debug screen enabled (hit the F3 key) demonstrating the issue.

I'm unable to reproduce this, my wolf did attack the animal.

I am also unable to reproduce this issue in 21w17a. After taming a wolf and attacking an animal, the wolf began to attack and kill the mob as it should.
