LWJGL Linux Freeze Bug

No helpful output, as this bug does not effect gameplay; however, whenever I look at any screen that is NOT minecraft while it's running, I have a severe freeze bug that renders everything that isn't minecraft essentually useless.
On older versions of minecraft (Where the "Sticky Keys" were a problem) I simply ran a bash script to fix the issue; but, with 1.6.1, I have found no way of updating (or even downgrading to 1.8.4/5, which worked perfectly for me) the files to remove the problem.
Please implement a way to update them in a sane way.

I have the same problem. Oracle Java 7 (1.7.0_25-b15), Debian unstable, kernel 3.9.8. It does it with both Intel and NVidia drivers, so it doesn't appear to be a driver problem.

It doesn't happen every time I switch away. It might be time-dependent - the longer its off screen, the more likely it is to occur.

From what I can tell, the longer you actively play Minecraft, the worse the freeze gets (more often, with a longer freeze). After ~1 hour of gameplay, it is futile to do anything that isn't minecraft actively.

More info. It only seems to happen in-game. If I sit at the menu it doesn't hang.

Not resolved in 1.6.2 prerelease.

I ran an experiment today. I left it idling in game all day. When I got home, I returned to the menu, loaded a different game, played for a few minutes and then switched workspaces. When I came back it had hung again. So wherever the problem is, its not cleared out by quitting and restarting the game.

I don't know if any of this is helpful. I'll keep playing!

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
