[MC-222129] Light block melts snow

When placed near snow, the Light block melts it.

I don't think this is intended.

Why wouldn't it be intended? Any kind of light except for sunlight will melt snow.

The light block is meant for map-making! How are we supposed to light up a snowy scene if the snow just melts? Your question would make sense if it was meant for survival, but the light block was purely intended as a creative map-making item.
