[MC-222827] 1.8.9 versions music&sound sound subtitles settings

Hello, I am contacting support because I want to say my opinion and feedback about 1.8.9 version. Why there's no sound subtitles settings? Why I can use them/ turn on? That is very disrespectful of deaf people because I can't even play minecraft normally. I don't see sound subtitles. Please fix this problem. Thank you for your time.

Yeah, 1.8.9 was released later than the 1.9 snapshot that added subtitles so I don't know why don't subtitles exist in 1.8.9

What is Mojang supposed to do, update an old version? They already did, it's called 1.9.

I can play minecraft perfectly fine with sound muted and no sound subtitles.

Well not everyone likes to play on 1.9 and above because there is automatic shield. Me and My other friends found this problematic. And that's not good. Thanks for your time.

1.8 is a version from 2014, I'm not even sure if Mojang would still have the source code for that. (I know Decomps are easy to make, but Mojang might not be willing to go through all of the trouble of going through all of that to update a version that itself has been out of date for about seven years...)
