I've done all the troubleshooting. F3+T, update audio drivers, check system and minecraft settings, uninstall and reinstall. Nada. Minecraft is dead silent unless I put my volume all the way up at 100. Everything else is completely normal. HELP.

I actually had this exact issue 5 months ago. I have a windows computer, so if you play on mac or linux, I cannot help you. If you are on windows however, you can fix it by right clicking the little volume button on the bottom right of your windows taskbar, then select the option that says 'Open Volume Mixer'. Then, look for the minecraft volume mixer, and turn it all the way up. This should hopefully solve your problem.
