You can place and take equipment off armor stands in spawn protection

The Bug:

Players without operator permissions cannot normally interact with blocks/entities inside spawn protection, however, you are able to place and take equipment off armor stands, regardless of whether or not they're in spawn protection.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Start a server, join it, give operator permissions to yourself, and switch into creative mode.

  2. Set the world spawn to your current location and summon an armor stand nearby by using the commands provided below.

    /setworldspawn ~ ~ ~
    /summon minecraft:armor_stand ~ ~ ~-2
  3. Obtain any piece of equipment that can be placed on the armor stand.

  4. Switch into survival mode, remove your operator permissions, and grant anyone else with them in order to activate spawn protection.

  5. Attempt to place equipment on and take equipment off the armor stand.

  6. Take note as to whether or not you can place and take equipment off armor stands in spawn protection.

Observed Behavior:

Equipment can be placed onto and taken off armor stands.

Expected Behavior:

Equipment would not be able to be placed onto and taken off armor stands.

Works as intended.

Spawn protection does not encompass entities.

"**Spawn protection prevents players from building in spawn, undoing any attempts at placing or breaking blocks. Players who have any operator level are able to bypass it and build anyway." - MC Wiki

This should not be marked intended unless someone can provide an official source from Mojang, or a mod or Mojang employee marks it as such.

Brevort, you're most likely correct, but why, in that case, do helpers and mods use the wiki link in their messages?

@unknown You make a good point there.

Can confirm as of 21w15a.
