Reloading resource packs with fabulous graphics causes screen to become black, after a few times causes crash for AMD drivers

When I was reloading resource packs in the latest snapshot, the screen would become black and basically you couldn't tell what you were doing. After a few times of reloading, the game crashes.

Counts for both switching resource packs and reloading resource packs.

Reproduce

  • Change graphic to fabulous

  • Press F3 + T
    ❌ Notice screen is black

I have attached the crash reports of last week's snapshot and this weeks snapshot that just generated a few minutes ago.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

Thanks! This might be caused by one of the resource packs you have loaded. Could you please remove one by one until you find the resource pack causing this issue, and then attach it?

It's any time I reload or change resource packs. I removed all packs and screen still goes black.

This crash report generated when the game crashed while reloading packs without additional packs running

Feel free to check this F3+C crash report as well (without additional packs on)

Thanks a lot! The crash report looks similar to what is described in MC-223021. I will mark them as related.
Could you please check if graphics card drivers are available (from the AMD site) and try installing them?

I was able to reproduce this issue in 21w19a. I've attached a screenshot with my debug screen enabled
