Weird Village see generation and grass path

I recently made a hardcore world to play when i stumble across a village and went explore it. but i went to the grass path and saw a seed planted there. I opened the F3 menu to see if it was a grass path and it said it was so it was not the texture I had no mods not even optifine or fabric it was weird.
