I tried pillaring with scaffoldings and even if I clicked right in the middle of the bottom scaffolding, I could not place the next one.

It looks like it is intended that one cannot pillar with scaffoldings. Instead, another scaffolding is placed in the direction that I am facing at. I thought it may be possible to place a scaffolding on another scaffolding if all scaffoldings in this direction are placed.
Please could you provide some steps on how to go about reproducing this issue as I'm finding it quite difficult to understand what the problem is here? Additionally, attaching some screenshots or videos demonstrating this behavior would also be quite useful and greatly appreciated. Thanks π
Stand on a block which is no scaffolding with scaffoldings in your hand. Face down. Jump and place one scaffolding. Works like normal.
If you try it again, now on the scaffolding, the scaffolding is placed at one side and not at the top. This is intended and useful if there is no space to place a scaffolding on top of another, e. g. if you stand on top and the space is blocked. But if the space is not blocked, e. g. due to jumping, the scaffolding should be placed on top like any other block.

I am unable to reproduce this issue in 21w20a. Please provide some videos or screenshots of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled.
