I dont know how to use this site properly and directly reply to others so I hope this counts as a reply to OcelotOnesie: No, that does not describe my issue. Ive tried multiple portals that are obviously already linked.
I am not sure if this belongs to here but the ticket I found is marked as a duplicate of this ticket though I think it is important to notice.
An armor stand starts to burn if someone hits it with a sword enchanted with Fire Aspect. A similar entity, the boat, cannot be ignited in that way, even though it is flamable (and drops than immediately). All was tested in 1.18.1.
This is still happening on Minecraft bedrock version 1.17.32 . It seems to crash realm when more than one person on, going through a portal, or being near a few villages.
Stand on a block which is no scaffolding with scaffoldings in your hand. Face down. Jump and place one scaffolding. Works like normal.
If you try it again, now on the scaffolding, the scaffolding is placed at one side and not at the top. This is intended and useful if there is no space to place a scaffolding on top of another, e. g. if you stand on top and the space is blocked. But if the space is not blocked, e. g. due to jumping, the scaffolding should be placed on top like any other block.
If this description is not understandable, I try to provide a video.
yeah i saw that thread too but it didnt seem to be the same thing, plus i just realized it didnt only say 1.14 on that thread and i may be lowkey autistic
i also noticed in this case for some reason the big frame drop happens when you enter the affected chunks while also facing north (or from the south side of the chunk if my brain is working correctly rn) and not from any other direction.
It looks like it is intended that one cannot pillar with scaffoldings. Instead, another scaffolding is placed in the direction that I am facing at. I thought it may be possible to place a scaffolding on another scaffolding if all scaffoldings in this direction are placed.
I've just done the command again and it now seemed to fix it. I haven't noticed any spots. I did try the latest version of Paper as well and have noticed that they came back. I really have no clue, but I'll report this to Paper. Sorry for the bothersome over these dumb issues. Was just getting very agitated by the swapping chunks and than having these lighting bugs come out of nowhere. I've also checked a new world and it doesn't seem to be affect on vanilla but it seems to be bugged on paper. Definitely a paper issue.
So I'm back with an update. It seems to not have fixed it. It's did do something though. The shadows in some spots do disappear, but more appear in different areas. I'm most likely gonna contact paper to see if they have anything since I've heard of them having multiple lighting problems in the past. I don't really know why it carries over to my vanilla server though, especially since none of this happened until the last couple days, which is far from me last using paper and 1.15
The issue is I think the same, but like I said, the portals Ive got set up should be linked properly as I use them myself to travel.

I'm half a year late but I am happy to see that someone took this issue over and keeps it up-to-date.

I have this same problem. Any other RTX game, Warzone particularly, works flawlessly. Minecraft RTX, however, is UNPLAYABLE.
I also encounter this bug at my single player world in 1.16.4.
This is broken again in 21w05b
Never mind i fixed it. Thanks for the support anyway
I've talked to some people from PaperMC and it's a issue on their end. Once again, so sorry for an issue that's not on the Vanilla end.
