I joined a world of mine. A few minutes later, I was cleaning up in my friend's house. I was just flying around and placed some quartz stairs, then I noticed something: His tamed, completely sitting dog was not turning around, barking, or anything. Just staring at a wall. Let's just say that he was missing his AI class or something. Then all of a sudden, he glided to the wall he was staring at. No animation played, he was still sitting when gliding, and he didn't make a sound. Nothing else happened. I honestly got a bit creeped out by that and quit the world...

If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
If you are on Mac (Mojave or later), you can use Shift+Command+5 to open a built-in app for recording your screen.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.

I think this can be closed because our server/world likes to lag a lot. It never happened again, but it is something that can happen on the server. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That sounds to me like lag. I think your server froze for just a little bit.
That can even happen in singleplayer.
