I'm not sure the best way to describe it, but I will break a block to pick it up, the block will break but the item stays on the ground, unable to be collected. If I break any other blocks, they don't drop, and after a few seconds, the game slows down to 0-1fps. I've updated java, and freshly reinstalled Minecraft and this bug still appears. It seems to be random and can happen on any block but seems to happen most often on dirt, furnaces, crafting benches, and wood (not that I can get any further to test other blocks). If needed I can try and record what's happening for a better understanding. This has only started occurring since I updated the game to the most recent version, it was fine on the snapshots.

If it helps, I have a video of it happening with the debug screen overlay active? It's just too big to be attached.
It might help, but the debug report would be more helpful in finding out what causes the issue.
You can also upload the video elsewhere (e.g. YouTube) and then link to it here if it's too large.
OK, I've since deleted the affected world, but if it happens again, I'll be sure to grab the info you need.
We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
