Sneaking right before bouncing on a slime block results in taking fall damage but still bouncing.

Pretty much what it says in the summary. I have attached a video demonstration for clarity/"proof".

The fall damage taken also sometimes results in the second bounce being higher than the first, but this is inconsistent.

May duplicate MC-54532.
Not sure if the also bouncing part is WAI

It does not. Breaking your fall is an indended mechanic, as is holding jump to minimize the bounce. Breaking your fall and still bouncing is not intended.

Sorry, we do not accept modded Minecraft clients on this bug tracker. This bug tracker is only for vanilla.

Are you able to reproduce this with a vanilla client? I tried it and could not reproduce.

Player movement is calculated serverside (an officially hosted realm in this case) so reproducing with a vanilla client should not be necessary. Either way I have now attached a demo on vanilla 1.17. Took me three attempts to reproduce if that is interesting.

idk this is not a bug.

I argue that it clearly is. Per the wiki "A player holding sneak does not bounce at all and takes fall damage," which does not align with what I demonstrated.

I am unable to reproduce this on 1.19.1 Pre-release 5; the player takes fall damage and does not bounce when shifting and falling on a slime block. Does this still occur for you?
