Everytime I try to eat, even though I can see the animation of me eating, the food bar doesn't go up and the amount of food I posess remains the same, This has been going on for a couple days, the only thing that can make my food bar go up is eating cake, since it's a different way of eating. Thank you for your help.

I'm playing in a realm, I have a good connection and the only lag I have is the one regarding the food bar. And yes, I have the /gamerule naturalRegeneration set to true
Are you sure this happens on the Java Edition? MCPE-55263 is in the Bedrock project.
We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.
Please record a video of this happening and attach it to this report.
If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in app for recording game footage.
If you are on Mac (Mojave or later), you can use Shift+Command+5 to open a built-in app for recording your screen.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.
