A mob dies in powdered snow it doesn't drop any items. This came up when I was trying to make a blaze farm using powdered snow to kill them, but they didn't drop any blazes in either creative or survival mode. Tested with over 100 mobs. This was in completely vanilla minecraft without any mods or data pack

Oh, I understand now. Does anyone know why that is the case? Blaze's seem to be the only mob that doesn't drop their loot if they aren't killed by the player.
Thank you for the help though. Knowing this I can create a datapack to fix it for now.
