Goats do not head butt me

When I was playing Minecraft with my sister we saw goats. So i told her to walk over there and she did. I changed her game mode to survival but the goats didn't hit her. I hit a goat and he just ran around like a cow when one gets hit. Never did a goat look like it was going to head butt me off the cliff. and yes there was a big cliff. I think this is an issue because in the Mojang update video the players kept getting hit by goats. So i would think I could get hit by one. The goats were naturally spawned too. I am playing Minecraft vanilla. My game was not modified in any way.

In order for goats to ram you, they require you to be still. With that being said, was you or your sister standing still when this issue occurred?

yes she was standing still for about ten seconds next to a goat and nothing happened

I am unable to reproduce this issue in 1.17. It can sometimes take up to 30 seconds for a goat to ram you. Keep in mind that yourself and the goat must be on the same y level in order for it to do this.

30 Seconds. oh OK maybe that was why. And yes we were on the same y level. Thank you!
