every time I try opening minecraft 1.17.1 I get this weird screen and the game itself is looking even weirder with different things projected on it, I believe this is because im using windows 8.1 however im not entirely sure.
I tried redownloading the game completely (i still have a backup) but it didn't work either. having a bug for an entire windows version is pretty weird however i didn't find any results on the internet with the same thing so it may not be it. you can see the images attached.
the issue probably has something to do with the textures, something wired that's happening is that if I don't have anything in my inventory I see a all types of health bars and xp bars and such on the top left but if I hold something I don't. another weird thing is that for example if I pick up a dirt block its gonna have the dirt block texture but for the second type of block that I picked up(sand for example in the screenshots) it addapts the texture of the first block that I picked up if i hover my mouse over it its gonna look like dirt but once i dont hover it its gonna look like normal sand.
the issue isnt the game its something to do with the textures i believe.
