This only happens in a Mac but needs to be resolved.
when you split-screen and set the Minecraft to fullscreen. It took me a while to sort it
out, In the end i did it. this might confuse new players and annoy them. here is a picture of what happens:

If you try to exit full screen screen it crashes the game.
Please solve this.

The issue with the recipe book is already being tracked at MC-199915..
