Since I update to Minecraft 1.17, I keep getting random freezes from the game. Although, after the freeze, the game continues to working normally. Redstone still works, chat still works, I can even type in chat, pause the game, quit to main menu by clicking where the quit button is supposed to be. Looks like the game renderer stops working somehow.
