Mouse Clicking Irregularities

Clicking with the mouse as of late has yielded unexpected behaviors from it mainly from middle and right clicking. When right-clicking, it randomly tends to do it twice rapidly without the user's input. Examples of this occur with items, interacting with blocks when building or those that have interfaces, and interacting with mobs like breeding. An example of this would be when you are using an Elytra with Fireworks and occasionally it will fire off two rockets rapidly, when building more than one block is placed per singular click, or breeding an Axolotl with a bucket of Tropical fish tends to pick up the Axolotl instantly after without clicking a second time or holding down the button.

With middle-clicking, it tends to become unreliable as when doing so, it automatically switches to the least most empty slot. An example of this would be I'm trying to middle click a block that's in front of me with hotbar slot 9 to get the blocks in my inventory to that slot which it does, then switches from that hotbar slot 9 to 6 whilst leaving the blocks in 9. Another issue with it is that it tends to not respond to user input at all by not performing the action requested by the user or performs it a second or two after as if it's lagging.

I've tested these issues out on servers, in single-player, modded/vanilla, and off of the game and I can confidently say that these issues are with Minecraft 1.17.1 itself. These issues do not occur with other games or programs outside of Minecraft and they persist in single and multiplayer regardless if the user has mods like Optifine installed or not.

If this occurs in a vanilla environment and you're sure that it isn't a problem with your mouse, please provide some screenshots or videos of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled.

Apologies but that's a little complicated. Since it's been happening at random, and the fact my setup doesn't have the means to record mouse-clicking audio, only game footage, that wouldn't help very much. It wouldn't help to record the game footage either because you'd have no way to actually tell when certain issues occur, especially due to the restrictions of my setup. A screenshot would be useless since it's an event, not something that just sits there waiting for you to create the image. It's something you can only determine for yourself. The F3 screen wouldn't reveal anything about this and I've tested my mouse out and did some troubleshooting based off of Microsoft's instructions by disabling certain configurations that they specified. I will reiterate this, I've tested my mouse on other applications and this does not affect them whatsoever, only Minecraft. From this testing, I can tell you with no doubt, my mouse is not the culprit. The only way I could possibly prove this to you is with witness reports from players on the server I work for.

Would MC-145948 happen to describe your issue?
