mobgriefing rule true breaks villager breeding

Having /gamerule mobgriefing true disables being able to throw villagers food as the can't pick it up and stops them from harvesting, leaving no way to breed them.

We're tracking this issue in MC-55218, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.

That ticket has already been resolved as working as intended, which means this is not considered a bug and won't be fixed. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.

I disagree, this is specifically adressing the breeding, not the farming. This can be fixed without having them disobey the rule (by changing how breeding is triggered).

@unknown I ask you to reconsider, yes it is mentioned, but this report isn't reporting that, it's reporting that breeding becomes impossible.

I'm just following the precedent ofย MC-157375 /ย MC-158528 /ย MC-160330 /ย MC-217625 /ย MC-227245

The premise of these reports is kinda misleading anyway since villagers aren't prevented from breeding, just prevented from fulfilling a precondition, the very same precondition that is marked intended
