World generation bugs

The Bug:

Flying around in a newly generated world I quickly found a couple of (possible) weird world-gen issues.

These issues are present in the screenshots that I included, with F3 details. All of these screenshots are made in the world with the seed specified in the steps to reproduce.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Generated a world using the seed: -994796562581097201

  • Fly to the coordinates in the screenshots

    •  Spiky mountains

      • 129 118 -196

      • -578 136 -679

    • Lakes in the middle of the desert:

      • 212 76 -283

      • 157 97 -425

    • Rough biome transitions + weird holes

      • -158 94 -610

      • -722 136 -641

Observed Behavior:

  • Weird holes in the desert

  • Deep lakes in the desert, that additionally seem to be cut-off too.

  • Spiky mountains

  • Rough/odd biome transitions

Expected Behavior:

Regular world generation without any of the issues stated.

Please put only one bug report in each ticket. It is very difficult to keep track of bugs when they are not in their own tickets.
However, please review the Bug Tracker Guidelines before creating new reports. Be sure to search for an existing issue as it is likely to have already been reported.
