There are weird squares on ice in frozen oceans & rivers

I was just checking new terrain out and I found this glitch happening, there are light (dark in the night)squares (sometimes striped) appearing on ice if you view it from a bit far (2-3 chunks) but disappear when you get right next to them you can also see through them.
