I think this might need a new repro-case. I flew around and saw some hard edges in some locations, but not nearly enough that I could confidentially say this is still an issue in 1.18-pre5.

The cliff in the screenshot was the only hard edge I could find. Not really a big issue in my opinion, if at all.
