the command was /team add (user) team
not sure if you resolved it already.

Thanks for your response! It appears that your server is modified with Fabric. Unfortunately, we're unable to accept reports of issues tested on modified servers, because we'd be unable to ensure that the issue is caused by something in vanilla Minecraft rather than something in the modifications. If you can reproduce this issue in a completely unmodified environment, please comment on this issue or create a new report. 🙂
