Large stone pillars can generate in smaller caves

While I was exploring new caves in survival, I stumbled unpon big chunks of stone what first looked like a small chunk error. Under closer look in spectator mode there was a lot of these structures around, so it seems like giant stalagmite are generating everywhere in smaller caves, but I am not sure.

Hello @@unknown,

As far as I know, these “stone walls” are perfectly normal with the new cave generation and can be seen around often. However, if you think this is something that should be changed, feel free to make a suggestion on the Feedback website. 🙂

Hello @Johnibur

My point is, that when I was navigating through caves, these "stone walls" look unnatural and especially in some smaller caves, it can seal off continuation, so it's even harder to navigate through caves. On the other hand, while I was wandering what it is, after posting this issue, I found some realy huge caves, where were these "stone walls" and it realy looked like huge stalagmites, as it filled a lot of empty space and looked naturally. In sumarry I think, it don't need to be removed, but tweaked a little bit so in smaller caves, it fill cross-section surface at I would say 75% in maximum and if it is a big stalagmite [8x8 or bigger, (found 12x14)], try to make them a little bit more rounder, if possible, because it would look even better.

So it's more of a suggestion than a bug?

Same issue as MCPE-147398 but in the Java Project. Resolved as works as intended. However, as pointed out by other people, feel free to add something into the suggestion thread.

This ticket actually appears to be a duplicate of MC-237374 which was later resolved as "Works As Intended".
