password wont work

i tried to go through the normal process of password reset. it was a little odd. i rebooted my computer. when i tried to log in to minecraft my password would not work. i tried the normal process to reset it but it did not work. it would not send me an email to my address. i used the windows 7 installer because the windows 11 one would not work.
