so far, rabbits have gotten stuck under the azaleas with none ever really getting out, only continuously running into it, and one of my villagers tried to walk through one like it was a trap door or something. I'm sure this effects other mobs as well.

unfortunately I don't think this is quite the same, the rabbits do get stuck under it, and I know rabbits have their own issues in general, however villagers are just trying to walk through the bushes as if it's grass or something, the same kind of issue you get when they try to walk through trapdoors but can't. I also just caught a zombie stuck on it too
