As seen in the image below, in Minecraft's "Video Settings" there is no indicator that the GUI Scale slider bar is the GUI Scale, only showing as "Auto" or any number between 1 and 4
Another issue is that even though it's a slider, the GUI Scale doesn't change unless clicked on like a button. If the bar on the slider changes values when clicked and dragged on: nothing happens

This is different from MC-249392 as this report includes the bug with using the option as a slider compared to a button.
