Sculk Shriekers decided to be friendly this snapshot

This has all the chances of being a duplicate but basically Sculk Shriekers are friendly now, and I quite like this, they dont call the warden, only scream, and oddly enough, multiple shriekers can be activated at once. I suggest Shriekers placed by the player to not bring the warden from underground, only the naturally generated ones, much like leaves.

Only naturally generated ones can spawn the warden, not placed ones.

Hi, as mentioned above already, a change was introduced in 22w13a which gave sculk shriekers the "can_summon" block state. This block state determines whether or not a sculk shrieker can summon a warden. Ones placed manually by the player will have this block state set to "false" and ones placed via world generation will have them set to "true". This information was stated in the 22w13a changelog and leads me to believe that this is working as intended.

SCULK SHRIEKER

  • Added can_summon blockstate to the Sculk Shrieker that determines whether a Shrieker can summon a Warden or not

  • Shriekers placed via worldgen will have can_summon set to true

  • When a Shrieker is placed or generated via Sculk spread, can_summon is set to false
