'Select datapacks' prompt does not work without desktop environment?

Recently tried to install and play Minecraft on a Linux machine with just a display server/window manager (i.e. no desktop environment) to see what works!

Game works mostly normal; however, I am not able to use the 'Select datapack' file chooser to select datapack load order for a world in the single-player 'Create new world' menu--doing so will cause a visual bug that renders the window unusable.

I tried testing multiple UI file manager applications, including Dolphin and Thunar, that could drag and drop file folders by their icons, since the in-game menu specifies to do this. I set each of these programs to the system default for opening directory filetype. and the result is always something just like this (but with a different file picker app, this example was with Thunar):

NOTE: I initially thought this issue could be with the window manager application I used, which is XMonad. But if it is, I've never had this issue when any other software opens up my default file manager – only Minecraft.

Please upload a the crash report. You can find it at ~/.minecraft/crash-reports.

I have replicated multiple times with different file manager applications, but this does not ever crash the game or result in any error output to game logs–just the visual issue shown in the provided video. I believe the crash at the end of the video is just the result of me force-closing the Minecraft window. I do not have a ~/.minecraft/crash-reports directory.

I have uploaded the latest game log anyways after trying this, i.e. ~/.minecraft/logs/latest.log .

Edited the original post to clarify that this does not cause a crash - just a visual bug

Do the visual glitches persist with Fullscreen mode disabled?

Yes, glitches persist in both fullscreen and windowed mode

Hi there! The current YouTube video link you've provided within the description of this ticket no longer works, so please could you provide another video demonstrating the problem while the F3 debug screen is enabled? This would greatly assist in diagnosing the potential issue here. Thanks!
