The vines region (lower 3 layers) of a huge fungus seldom generate wart blocks that aren't attached to the main body of the tree and are free-floating (see attached screenshot)
While, due to the way each block in a huge fungus is independently generated from the others, it is possible for a huge fungus to generate with no blocks attached to the stem or even no hat blocks at all, the chance of this occurrence is many orders of magnitude lower than the chance of the vines region of the huge fungus producing floating blocks.
Steps to Reproduce:
Either fly around in a warped/crimson forest until you see floating blocks
Alternatively go to these coordinates (/execute in minecraft:the_nether run tp @s -284.97 60.81 -299.38) in this seed (-1849291225026860980)

@Dhranios, I saw that report and they may be duplicates yes, but this is to do with how the wart blocks generate in the world without any obstructions.
i.e. irregardless of what blocks may or may not be directly above the fungus before it grows, the huge fungus can generate blocks that are free-floating in the air
Oh, you're referring to the 1 floating block in the image, my apologies, thought you meant the higher up part of the tree (that generated into the ceiling).
