System Specs
OS: Arch Linux
Mesa/OpenGL: 22.1.1
OpenAL (system): 1.22
Audio Server: Pipewire and Pulseaudio
My Issue:
Whenever I started playing 1.19, something that was immediately wrong was the fact that all audio effects seem to be downgraded. Apparently, y'all exposed OpenAL's HTRF capabilities in this new update, but that still has no effect on audio quality (nor does it seem to work).
In the past, minecraft was able to read the audio settings from OpenAL's user wide config in the home directory of the user, and seems like it still as, and both Minecraft 1.19 and 1.18.2 uses the audio backend I prefer in the user-wide OpenAL settings.
I have changed nothing in configuration between the 1.18.2 and 1.19 test in my video, and I hope y'all understand what I mean by, "degraded audio." The video can be viewed here on youtube detailing my experience of the problem.

Does MC-252546 describe your issue?
Yes, MC-252546 does appear to describe my issue, and articulates the fact that 1.19 audio seems compressed in comparison to 1.18.2
Dupe of MC-252546
When I was experimenting with the new update, I activated directional audio and this issue also began for me. I attempted to turn it off, but it stayed on even when toggled off.
