[MC-254091] Holding a stick in you hand will not allow you to open a chest

If I try to open a chest when holding a stick, I cannot open it. tried on singleplayer and realms. This seems like a weird bug but i want to know the truth

Cannot reproduce. Make sure there's no block abolve the chest that prevents it from opening, and that you're not sneaking. (Sneaking with held item prevents block interaction.)

I too cannot reproduce this behavior in 1.19. Please provide some screenshots or videos of this issue occurring whilst the F3 debug screen is enabled. This would assist in diagnosing the potential problem here. Thanks in advance 😃
