Music stops upon performing an intensive task

For example, when I create a backup, or load a texture pack, or do something stupid that would kill a PC, such as putting a million TNT and blowing it up, music sometimes stops abruptly during such 'lag spikes.'

Music stopping during a world backup is covered by MC-211049, and music has to stop when reloading resource packs because the sound engine gets reloaded (MC-179978). As for the rest of the report, does MC-132552 describe your issue?

As for resource packs, that is intended behaviour. The sound engine is reloaded because resource packs can also affect or change the music and sounds which are played in-game. As for the other two though?
