Block damage will stay if I start breaking block right after lowering shield

Block damage will stay if I start breaking block right after lowering shield. What I mean by block damage is the crack that appear in the block when you start to break it.  I did it by raising my shield and then lowering it at the same time as clicking with my left mouse button. Played in the latest version as of this being posted.
