I had a super flat world with a few buildings on it, i come back a few months later after some updates and the world turned into a default world rather than super flat?
also I had a world I've had for a while and when I went back to it my chunks were overwritten with new ones?

The result of loading a previous version in a newer version will sometimes conclude in a few regenerated chunks, as newer versions can not interpret some old content and regenerate as a result.
