The bug
Any mob can sometimes damage players riding a camel.
To reproduce
Ride a camel.
Summon several mobs.
Walk around.
Expected result
Mobs would never be able to hit you.
Observed result
Mobs are sometimes able to hit you.

I've done some thorough investigating regarding this problem and have discovered that you do not need to be sprinting or looking down while riding a camel in order to reproduce this issue. It appears that any given mob, for example, vindicators, zombies, husks, etc... are sometimes able to attack you whilst you're riding camels.
I'm unsure if this would qualify as a duplicate of MC-256655 or should be kept separate; I'll leave this for the team to decide. I can confirm this behavior, nonetheless.
