Lodestone Compass does not automatically stack after dropping and destroying the Lodestone
What I expected to happen was...:
That the Lodestone Compass would automatically stack on top of the first Lodestone Compass
What actually happened was...:
That the Lodestone Compass did not automatically stack on top of the first Lodestone Compass
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a lodestone
2. Create 2 Lodestone Compass
3. Drop 1 lodestone Compass
4. Destroy the Lodestone
5. Pick up the first Lodestone Compass

this is caused by MC-176084, as it seems a compass does not actually check if its valid until it enters a player’s inventory. it doesn’t stack because it’s still linked to the nonexistent lodestone while being picked up. once it’s picked up, however, they start to stack again, as they’re invalid once more.
Are both compasses linked to the same XYZ in your test?
