When I started the powered rails for my track my minecart started shaking and kicked me off. After that I decided to just push myself to the down hill but when it hit the next set of powered rails it started shaking and kicked me off again.

You're using the wrong rail type; what you're describing isn't a powered rail, but an activator rail.
