[MC-258940] Game crash when selecting a block, or button after typing in a text box

This bug occurs whenever someone selects something after typing in a text box
How to replicate:
Step 1: Go into the Creative Menu
Step 2: Search for any block in the game
Step 3: Click on said block, the game will stop, and the screen will flash for a few seconds, and then crash.
Other ways to replicate: Type in anything, then sign a Book and Quill, Type in a word, or numbers in the set seed prompt then try to change the gamemode.
