The range for /locate poi is unreasonably short. It cannot even find a nether portal more than 250 blocks away. I am not sure if this has always been the case but it really makes the command redundant.
Steps to reproduce
1. Get a nether portal about 255 blocks away from the player
2. Run /locate poi nether_portal
I can confirm this issue, but it might intended.
