I know lots of people have been having this issue on Bedrock, but on Java Edition as well, I've been dealing with my book and quills not saving when I write in them. Sometimes they do, but a lot of the time they don't. I'll write in a book, hit Done, and when I open the book again, my text is gone because the page reset.

I did several tests just now where I would edit a book and then hit Done and reopen it as quickly as possible. Most of the time, it had saved my progress, but a few times it still didn't. The problem also only seems to occur on a pretty full page, so maybe you're right? Maybe if the book or page is fuller it takes longer to process the data when I close it?

How quickly do you reopen the book? Upon pressing done, the book instantly closes, but it still needs to update the data (send new content to the server).
