Minecart camera auto rotation now working about 10 years

When you riding minecart in old versions it causes auto rotation of your view direction.
Feature broken between 1.5-1.6.4

What I expected to happen was...:
Camera rotates on minecart rotation (it will be better if rotation will work not only on corners, head rotation should be parented to minecraft, but unparented on rail parts with frequent turns)

Example (1.5):
https://youtu.be/ssCFG6MvH8M

What actually happened was...:
Your view always directed in one way until you move head manually

Example (1.19.3):
https://youtu.be/LzVHcwQinwI

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use latest minecraft version (1.19.3)
2. Make railroad with turns
3. Try to ride minecart when it turns left or right

I like how they just linked this is as duplicate to very old post (2012) with IMPORTANT priority. Looks like this is so IMPORTANT that thay trying to fix only THIS bug for 10 years (sarcasm)

Dear Mod, linking this bug to so old post will make this bug just lost. I don't think mojang fixing that old bugs

This is just how the bug tracker works, it is a database of all known bugs and Mojang will gradually work through them.

The assigned priority is not indicative of the order in which bugs are fixed - for that, there are lots of other factors to take into account, for example:

  • How quick would a bug fix be?

  • How complicated it is to fix the bug?

  • How widespread is the issue currently?

  • Is the fix likely to cause more bugs or issues?

  • Does the bug fall in an area of the game that's currently being worked on anyway?

  • etc. etc.

Old bugs don't get "lost" only because they're old, they still stay open until Mojang makes a decision on them. Please understand that filing duplicate bug reports will do nothing but waste our time.
