Previous ticket was incorrectly closed as related to a ticket about not being able to log into a MC server due to missing public key.
THAT IS NOT MY ISSUE DESCRIBED IN THIS TICKET.
A friend has started a private MC server and I am ABLE TO LOG IN. However, I am not able to chat in the server. Everything else works fine. I can play and do everything EXCEPT CHAT.
I previously requested remediation steps to take in order for me to try to resolve the issue myself, but received nothing but a response implying that I had not utilized the Search feature in this system. I was already aware of the server connection issue, which also does not have any remediation steps users can take on their own.
Please either provide steps I can take to try to fix this, link the ticket to the CORRECT one - if it exists, or leave this open until it is resolved.

Please include some more information. Currently, we're unable to understand or reproduce the problem based on the information provided.
Are you able to open the chat box? Yes or no?
If you can open it: when you try to type or send something, is there an error message? If so, what is it?
Please provide some screenshots with the F3 screen enabled, showcasing the issue.
Does this happen on all servers or just a specific one?
Does this happen in singleplayer as well?
Finally, do either server or client use any mods?

Chat was set to visible. I was able to log into the server and open the chat box, but the error shown was Chat Disabled due to Missing Public Key.
I have had the issue for the past week, but was unable to locate a resolution. However, when I logged in today, the issue is no longer persisting without any action taken from my side, so something server side must have been updated.
I will include more details and screenshots if the issue reoccurs, for a new ticket at that time. Thank you for your assistance on this ticket.
