I found my dog sitting down when I entered my world and no matter how much I right-click they won't stop sitting

I logged into my world today to find my dog sitting down (which I never ask them to do), and no matter how much I right-click on them they are still sitting. I don't remember asking my dog to sit before I saved my world yesterday, honestly I have never ever told them to sit down on purpose afair. I am able to feed my dog by right-clicking on them with food, giving the expected result of the rising tail and hearts fluttering out after a few portions. However, right-clicking on them even with an empty hand does not make them stand, no matter how much I try 😞

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected that right-clicking on my dog with an empty hand would make them stand. I also, in the first place, did not expect my dog to be sitting down when I entered my world as I have never asked them to sit on purpose. 

What actually happened was...:
Right-clicking on my dog will not make them stand no matter what. I am still able to feed them, however. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Umm well I guess somehow find your dog unexpectedly sitting when you enter your world...? I honestly don't know what could have triggered all of this. 
2. Right-click, find that it does not make them stand up no matter what you use, empty hand, food, still nothing. Feeding the dog is still possible, however.
