pigmen will not go to destroy the turtle eggs

game vision 1.19.2 1.19.3 and 1.19.4

Problem

when I place down a turtle egg zombie pigmen do not attack it I could place it one block in front of  them and nothing will happen. I know it can take 30+ seconds for them to release it but it has been 5 minutes and they have done nothing.

its happening on the nether roof, nether floor and in the over world
